6th Wooden Bridge Competition at An-Najah National University

The American Society of Civil Engineers at An-Najah National University organized the 6th National Wooden Bridge Competition, featuring 24 teams from various Palestinian universities, including An-Najah National University, Birzeit University, and Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie.


The competition, held on Friday and Saturday, October 18-19, 2024, saw Birzeit University take first place with a bridge that supported 177 kilograms without breaking. An-Najah National University secured second and third place.


The event included 36 hours of continuous competition, with teams staying at the Golden Rose Hotel, fostering a spirit of interaction and positive rivalry among participants.


In her statement, society president Heba Masri expressed her pride in this remarkable event, emphasizing the importance of such competitions in enhancing students' abilities and developing their engineering skills. She also thanked the university for its ongoing support and praised the entire society team for their significant efforts in making this event a success.


This competition serves as an opportunity to strengthen students' skills in civil engineering and cultivate their innovative capacities.
